Gus Griffin has served as President and CEO of MGP since July 2014 and as a member of the Board of Directors since August 2014. Mr. Griffin has nearly 30 years of marketing and general management experience in the beverage alcohol industry. He served for 24 years with Brown-Forman Corporation, where he ultimately became Senior Vice President and Global Managing Director in charge of the company's flagship Jack Daniel's business.
Immediately prior to joining to MGP, Mr. Griffin spent a year as Executive Vice President of Marketing for Next Level Spirits, a northern California-based producer, importer and distributor of premium wine and spirits brands. Between 2011 and 2013, he served as Brand and Business Consultant for Nelson's Green Brier Distillery, Nashville, Tennessee.
Mr. Griffin joined Brown-Forman as a Merchandising Representative in 1987 and later moved into sales management. From 1990 to 1997, he advanced through a series of increasingly important brand management roles in Brown-Forman's U.S. marketing organization. In 1997, Mr. Griffin was named Vice President and Managing Director of Brown-Forman's Pacific Region, relocating to Sydney, Australia. He returned to the company's headquarters in Louisville, Kentucky, in 2001, assuming responsibility for the Jack Daniel's brand for the Asia Pacific Region. Within a year, Mr. Griffin was appointed to serve as Vice President and Managing Director for West Main Interactive, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Brown-Forman in the digital and relationship marketing arena.
In 2005, he was named Vice President and Regional Director for Brown-Forman's Southern Europe operating unit based in Barcelona, Spain. With a promotion to Senior Vice President and Global Managing Director for the company's Southern Comfort brand in 2007, Mr. Griffin returned to Brown-Forman's headquarters to lead a worldwide marketing team. He transitioned to Senior Vice President and Global Managing Director for the Jack Daniel's brand franchise in 2008.
In 1982, Mr. Griffin earned a bachelor's degree in economics at the College of William and Mary located in Williamsburg, Virginia. He received a master's degree in business administration in 1987 from the Mason School of Business at this same institution.
Tom Pigott has served as Vice President of Finance and Chief Financial Officer since September 2015. He possesses an extensive background in finance and operations, with over 25 years of experience driving profitable growth at consumer products companies.
Just prior to joining MGP, Tom was Vice President of Finance for the Meal Solutions Division of Kraft Foods Group. Between 1994 and 2009, he held a succession of CFO and other financial leadership positions across a wide number of Kraft operating divisions. His experience spans financial planning, analysis, audit and investor relations functions. From 2010 to 2012, Tom was vice president of finance for Nestle Pizza Division.
Tom holds a bachelor of business administration degree from the University of Notre Dame and a master of business administration degree in finance and marketing from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University. He is also a registered CPA.
Dave Rindom has served as Vice President and Chief Administrative Officer since December 2015. For 15 years prior to that, he held the position of Vice President of Human Resources. Previously, Mr. Rindom was Corporate Director of Human Relations since 1992. Preceding that, he was Personnel Director since 1988, and Assistant Personnel Director since 1984. Mr. Rindom joined MGP as a distillery operator in 1980.
Mr. Rindom received a bachelor of science degree in business administration from Benedictine College in 1978.
Ody Maningat, Ph.D. has served as Vice President of Ingredients Research and Development and Chief Science Officer since October 2015. Prior to that he, held the position of Vice President of Research and Development and Technical Services with Manildra Group USA. Hisreturn to MGP in his current role marks the renewal of his career with the Company, which previously spanned 27 years.
In addition to his full-time responsibilities at MGP, Dr. Maningat serves as an adjunct faculty member in the Department of Grain Science and Industry at Kansas State University, Manhattan. He is also a current member and former chair of the Advisory Board of the Food Processing Center of the University of Nebraska, Lincoln.
Dr. Maningat additionally holds memberships in the American Association of Cereal Chemists International, Institute of Food Technologists, American Society of Baking, and American Chemical Society. He has authored or co-authored more than 30 journal articles and book chapters in grain and food science publications, and holds more than 40 patents on grain-based technologies.
Dr. Maningat has been the recipient of various awards and honors, including the Majel A. MacMasters Memorial Achievement Award, the Outstanding Award in Science, and an Outstanding Alumni Award from Kansas State University’s Department of Grain Science and Industry, which he received in 2010. He was honored as a Fellow of the American Association of Cereal Chemists International in 2014.
David Dykstra has served as Vice President of Alcohol Sales and Marketing at MGP since November 2009. He has over 20 years of sales and marketing experience and had most recently served as Industrial Alcohol Sales Manager at the Company since 2006.
Mr. Dykstra attended Kansas State University, Manhattan, where he earned a bachelor's degree in marketing in 1987. He joined MGP the following year, eventually serving as Director of Sales for both beverage and fuel grade alcohol. In 1999, he left the Company to assume the role of Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Abengoa Bio Energy, Wichita, Kansas. He remained in that position until 2003, when he joined United Bio Energy Fuels, L.L.C., in Wichita as Vice President of that company's alcohol marketing division. He returned to MGP in 2006.
Steve Glaser has served as Vice President of Production and Engineering at MGP since October 2015. He possesses over 25 years of executive leadership and senior operations experience. Mr. Glaser joined MGP as Plant Manager of the Company’s Atchison, Kansas facility in 2011, and served as Corporate Director of Operations since 2014. Just prior to coming to MGP, he served for three years as President and CEO of Briggs Industries, Charleston, South Carolina, a leading, multi-site international kitchen and bath products business and subsidiary of Ceramicas Industriales S.A., Santiago, Chile. That followed three years as Vice President of operations for the Company.
Mr.Glaser received a bachelor of science degree in industrial engineering from Louisiana State University, Baton Rouge, in 1983. The following year, he earned a master of science degree in industrial engineering at Purdue University, West Lafayette, Indiana. He also holds a master of science degree in electrical engineering from the Naval Postgraduate School, Monterey, California.
Andrew “Andy” Mansinne has served as Vice President of Brands at MGP since November 2016.
During the majority of his more than 25 years in business leadership and marketing roles, Mr. Mansinne's focus has been on wines and spirits. His career has included serving as a Senior Vice President at Brown-Forman Corporation, Louisville, Kentucky.
Just prior to his role at MGP, Mr. Mansinne was a managing director at Intercontinental Beverage Capital, as well as president of Tattico Strategies, which he founded in Bethesda, Maryland. Between 2010 and 2014, he was President of Aveniu Brands, Baltimore. He also previously served as Chief executive Officer of DOmedia, Columbus, Ohio, from 2008 to 2010 following a year as Vice President of Marketing for Fosters Wine Estates, Napa, Calif.
Before joining Brown-Forman, where he began as brand director in 1995, Mr. Mansinne served in marketing and product management roles with other major consumer products companies, including The Quaker Oats Company, G. Heileman Brewing Company, and Ralston Purina Company.
Among Mr. Mansinne's educational credentials are a bachelor of arts degree from the University of Virginia, and a master’s of business administration degree from the University of Michigan’s Ross School of Business.
